Plantsy is what happens when art and nature collide. As humans, our natural form of expression is art, just as nature expresses itself through plants. We use it to express love, to reject the status quo, to resist power and to reclaim our space. Despite our invasion of privacy, plants do the exact same thing by forcing us to respect natural order and asking us to enjoy simplistic beauty. They remind us to thrive even when our growing conditions are less than ideal, evoking all the same emotions that art does. A lot of my inspiration is drawn from street art, as I believe the elements of this genre of art specifically relate to how I view the world through plants. I aim to find beauty in what might be overlooked or undervalued in our everyday lives. What plants and art have in common is that they can be as bold or as camouflaged as the observer decides.
